New details are emerging about sex offending doctors in Illinois. An investigation of claims against one particular physician finds law enforcement was slow in their response when women alleged he sexually assaulted them in his exam room. When police did follow up, they failed to alert the state regulatory board that could have revoked the doctor's license. Read more »

Illinois doctors found guilty of sex crimes are allowed to maintain their practices, even in cases when they commit crimes against their patients. A records review showed 16 doctors convicted of sex crimes in the last 15 years, none of which had his license revoked. In some cases, the doctor escaped any kind of discipline whatsoever.
